    9/27 Announcements 

     

    The deadline to submit a senior quote is October 3rd! That is next Monday! Please log onto Canvas in the senior class course and follow the directions to submit your quote. All quotes must be school appropriate or they will not be used.

    Attention College Bound sophomores and juniors....The PSAT will be given at South Pointe on Wednesday, October 19th. There is no registration fee for sophomores, but you do need to sign up so we are sure we have a test for you. Juniors who register will need to pay the $17 registration fee. See Mrs. Runyans in Guidance to sign up.

    SPHS Cafeteria will host food truck Wednesdays!!!  The Sodexo food truck will be here each Wednesday and the menu item for this week is BBQ!!!  Same menu prices apply.  Come out and enjoy lunch tomorrow!

    Attention all students that park on the SP campus, you must have a parking tag to park at school. They will continue ticketing people this week. Get a tag or get a ticket.

    College/Scholarship:

    Attention South Pointe Seniors.  The Scholarship Committee of the Omegas of Rock Hill is currently accepting applications for the 2016 Wade Witherspoon, Senior Essay Scholarship. The deadline to submit an application is October 21st, not October 1st. Please reference Canvas or the school website for scholarship criteria and additional information., or talk to your guidance counselor.

     

    SPORTS:

    Today the varsity and JV volleyball will play at Ridgeview at 7pm and tennis will play at 5. The theme for this week’s football game will be pink out for Crucial Catch with kick off being at 7:30 to play Ridgeview. Now back to ______ and _________ with the news.

     Clubs:

    Attention Drama Club members: there will be a meeting on Thursday afterschool in Dr. Chrismon’s room.

    The first meeting of Common Ground, South Pointe’s Gay-Straight Alliance will be this Friday, September 30th after school in Dr. Chrismon’s room, C100.

     

    It's time to let your voice be heard. Share your feelings about how you feel about our current world, your life, and your own world to be published in the award-winning South Pointe Impulse Literary Magazine. We are now accepting original student poetry, art, short story submissions at sphsimpulselitmag@gmail.com or to Mrs. Dawson in A-213.

    Are you interested in Promoting Positivity? Well then come on out and attend a SADD Meeting! We will have TWO meetings this week, so choose the meeting time that works best for YOU! One will be Wednesday morning at 7:45 in the Media Center, and the other will be Wednesday afternoon in Room A124. Student input and ideas for future activities are needed. See Mrs. Fields with any questions you have.

    Attention all cast members of Medea:  We will begin rehearsals TODAY @ 3:50 in C-100.  If you have any questions please see Dr. Chrismon as soon as possible.  

    Hola! PROGENY would like to extend a big thank you to everyone for your participation in Hispanic Heritage Month thus far. We had the highest participation for Hispanic Heritage Trivia ever. Please continue to participate in PROGENY's upcoming Hispanic Heritage event this week, such as mask-making, piñata making and hitting, and Latin Dancing. Gracias from PROGENY

    If you are interested in joining SPiN in the Morning or Afternoon and did not receive Lucy’s email this weekend, please stop by the news room tomorrow morning between 7:45 and 8:15.

    FCA will hold daily prayer at the pole during the upcoming weeks.  It will be every morning at 8:00 am
