     School:

Are you a visual artist? Would you like to have you talent displayed for all to see? Now’s your chance! The Impulse literary magazine staff is holding an art contest. To enter, you must submit a piece related to the theme of diversity or the lack thereof. The top ten works will automatically be placed into the award-winning literary magazine and the first place winner will receive a $5 iTunes gift card and the honor of being the magazine's title piece!

To submit your work please pick up a submission form and email all pieces to SPHSimpulselitmag@gmail.com or drop off to Carlo Dawson in A-213. The deadline for all entries is Feb. 28. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to be showcased in the award winning Impulse literary magazine!

Hey students! Do you secretly want a break from your third block teacher? Well, it's "Kidnap the Teacher" time! Kidnap the Teacher is an annual fundraiser that raises the most money for the Impulse literary magazine. The third block class that raises the most money will receive a pizza party while their teacher is kidnapped for the block, and the runner-up class will receive an ice-cream party. The fundraiser will begin Monday, Feb. 27.

Attention juniors! This week after school in A-234 is your last chance for ACT Prep at school. We will be focused on testing on the computer today and Thursday, from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.

Attention students: Tomorrow is the last day to order personalization for your yearbook. Please see Jessica Kramer in A-110 for an order form.

Attention all students! Seussical the musical begins this week! Come see your favorite Dr. Seuss characters and stories come to life on stage with music and dance.  Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults.  As always, South Pointe teachers can come for free. Come see Seussical!

    College/Scholarship:

Juniors, don’t forget that there is ACT writing help on Canvas. Look on the home page of your “Class of 2018” Canvas page for help on understanding the prompt, outlining the essay, and practicing the assessment. If you participate in a discussion on one of the tutorials, you’ll even be registered for prizes. See April Bates in A-114 if you have any questions.

FCA’s third lunch small group will be held tomorrow! If you have third lunch and want to join us for fellowship and prayer, come to the lunch small
